Two Suspects Arrested as Police Raid High-tech Indoor Cannabis Facility in Lagos
The Lagos State Police Command has raided a suspected indoor cannabis cultivation facility at a residential property in Apapa, arresting a 49-year-old Polish national and a 36-year-old Nigerian.
The suspects, identified as Thomas Razvickas and James Chisome, were arrested on November 2, 2026, at about 8:15 a.m. following intelligence received by police operatives.
According to the police, the property housed a sophisticated facility equipped with specialised equipment allegedly used to cultivate, harvest and process substances suspected to be cannabis.
The Command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed the development in a statement on Tuesday, noting that both men were residents of the property where the facility was discovered.
She said the suspects remained in police custody and had made confessional statements while providing information to assist investigators in the ongoing probe.
Following the discovery, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, CP Tijani Fatai, visited the property to inspect the facility, assess the operation and receive updates on the investigation.
Fatai praised the officers involved, commending their use of intelligence and vigilance in uncovering the suspected operation.
He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to tackling drug-related crimes and dismantling criminal networks operating across Lagos State.
The police commissioner also called on residents to continue supporting law enforcement agencies by providing credible and timely information that could help identify and apprehend suspected criminals.
He assured the public that the Command would sustain its efforts to combat criminal activities and improve security across the state.
