COVID-19 UPSURGE: Kaduna State Considers Lockdown

Kaduna State has recorded about 2,778 cases of COVID-19 cases, with 45 deaths so far.

The Kaduna State government says, it is considering another round of lockdown, following the upsurge in the number of people infected with COVID-19 in the state.

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-rufai said this during the signing of the 2021 budget of the state.

He said the government will not take chances, despite reports of COVID-19 vaccines being developed around the world.

The governor says it is now mandatory for every employee of the state government to undergo COVID-19 test.

Adding that the state government will also reintroduce the mobile court, to ensure compliance with the COVID-19 protocols.
