DIGITAL ECONOMY: Gov. Obaseki Launches Edo Tech Park

Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki has assured that the state is on course to achieving a digital economy before 2025.

The Governor made this known at the launch of the Edo Tech Park, a software engineering and leadership training institute, in Government house, Benin City.

The launch of the Edo Tech Park had as its theme, “building the next generation of tech leaders”.

The Tech Park which is a brainchild of the Governor Obaseki-led administration, is being developed to train at least fifteen thousand software engineers in the state.

It also forms part of the state’s strategy to become the technology outsourcing nerve centre in Africa.

Governor Godwin Obaseki says the system will be open to youths with the right skills-set across the state.

The Governor noted that his focus is to make government work for Edo people.

Obaseki believes that partnership with various investors in different fields especially using technology is the reason the state has been able to achieve a lot since the inception of his administration in 2016.
