DSS Raises Alarm of Possible Bomb Attack, Advice the Public to be cautious

The Department of State Services, DSS has raised the alarm about a possible bomb threat and other violent attacks during the holidays.

A statement issued by the service and signed by its public relations officer Peter Afunaya says the threat is targeted at vulnerable spots and some public places.

The statement did not disclose in specific terms which states the attacks threat exist and advised members of the public to be cautious.

The DSS warning says “the planned dastardly acts are to be executed through the use of explosives, suicide bombing and other dangerous weapons. The objective is to create a general sense of fear among the people and subsequently undermine the Government”.

The country’s secret police called on citizens’ vigilance and report of strange movements assuring that the Service is collaborating with other sister agencies to ensure that adequate measures are put in place for protection of lives and property.”
