Twenty three people have lost their lives in an accident in Masha village along Maqera-Mokwa road in Mashegu Local Government Area of Niger State.
Over speeding and loss of vehicle control were said to be the cause of the accident.
Confirming the incident, the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Joel Dagwa said, the crash involved only a blue trailer.
The Sector Commander added that the trailer which was loaded with cows, took off from Kebbi, heading to Lagos.
Dagwa explained that the injured victims have been taken to Mokwa General Hospital.
