Portuguese international and Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has died in a tragic car accident in Spain. The crash, which also claimed the life of his brother, Andre Silva, occurred in the early hours of the morning in Zamora, Spain, the Spanish Guardia Civil confirmed to the BBC.
The fatal incident happened around 00:30 BST in the municipality of Cernadilla. According to the Guardia Civil, the vehicle—a Lamborghini—veered off the road due to a tyre blowout while overtaking another car. The car caught fire shortly after the accident, and both occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.
