Life is looking brighter than ever for Seyi Adekunle, popularly known as Seyi Vodi, as the renowned fashion entrepreneur recently acquired a 2025 Rolls Royce Cullinan Series 2 worth a staggering $700,000 (₦1.09 billion).
The luxury ride was reportedly a birthday gift to himself as he celebrated his 50th birthday in grand style at the newly refurbished Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.
While some social media users have questioned how a “tailor” could afford such opulence, those close to Seyi affirm that he’s not just any tailor.
With a fashion career spanning over 24 years, Seyi Vodi has built a premium bespoke menswear brand that commands respect locally and internationally.
In a recent interview, the designer pushed back against the skepticism surrounding his wealth. “People forget I’ve been doing this for over two decades,” he said. “I have clothed the biggest names in Nigeria’s entertainment and political scenes—from Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, 2Baba, and Portable, to royalty and captains of industry.”
Drawing parallels with German fashion mogul Philipp Plein, Vodi urged Nigerians to change their perception about the potential of the fashion industry.
“There’s no mystery about my success. It’s hard work, consistency, and sacrifice,” he emphasized.
Though whispers suggest he may have investments in other sectors, Seyi maintains that fashion alone is the foundation of his wealth.
