The Nigerian women’s national team on Saturday night delivered an exceptional performance against Morocco to win the 2024 WAFCON Final.
The comeback queens had Morocco leading 2-0 in the first half of the match. But in the 2nd half, they brilliantly powered through to the finish line with Okoronkwo Esther starting the winning streak with a penalty kick.
The last two goals were scored by Folashade F. Ijamilusi and Jennifer Echegini.
Congratulations to the Super Falcons and Nigeria for the highly commendable win as they clinch the title for the 10th time.
