Holds Secret meeting with Fugitive Abdullahi Haske in Accra
The embattled Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Bayo Ojulari, has again come under fire after fresh records revealed another private jet trip to Ghana at taxpayers’ expense.
Ojulari, his Chief of Staff, Damilola Yusuf, and three associates departed Abuja on September 14 aboard a chartered private Jet, with flight number M-A××××, operated by Support Services Ltd. An extravagance that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars despite cheaper commercial options on Air Peace and Asky Airlines.
Insiders allege the trip, ostensibly for a conference, was a decoy for a secret meeting with fugitive Abdullahi Haske, wanted for fraud and money laundering. Haske, an in-law to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, is being investigated alongside Ojulari.
Despite the growing scandal, Ojulari shows no remorse. Sources describe him as defiant, doubling down to shield himself and his ally even as NNPC grapples with policy flip-flops, falling production, and plunging revenues.
Observers warn his actions reflect not just recklessness but a dangerous contempt for accountability, leaving Nigerians to question how long the Tinubu administration will allow such impunity at the top of the oil giant.
