President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, to resume official duties after cutting short his vacation abroad.

The confirmation came on Monday in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. He said, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has concluded his work vacation ahead of schedule and will return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, to resume official duties.”

Tinubu had departed Nigeria on September 4, 2025, for France to spend part of his annual holiday, with earlier plans to split the period between Paris and London.

While in Paris, the President held a private luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. Both leaders reportedly reviewed bilateral relations and pledged to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest, aimed at advancing prosperity and global stability.

This visit marked Tinubu’s seventh trip to France since assuming office in May 2023, and his first foreign outing after attending the BRICS Summit in July and TICAD9 in Japan in August 2025.
