Tensions have escalated in the ongoing marital crisis between Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, following reports that the lawmaker allegedly ordered the arrest of Regina’s siblings.
The development comes just days after reports surfaced that Regina had filed for divorce, accusing Nwoko of domestic violence, a claim the Delta North senator has strongly denied. In his response, Nwoko reportedly accused the actress of substance abuse, a charge she has since refuted.
Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, the 24-year-old actress made a distress call to the public, alleging that her elder brother and sister had been arrested on Nwoko’s orders. She further claimed her younger sister might also be detained if she refuses to return to what she described as a “rehabilitation centre” arranged by her estranged husband.
“Someone please, help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind,” Regina wrote. “My big brother and big sister have been arrested. My baby sister might be arrested as well until I return and, according to him, return to rehab. Don’t even get me started on telling the world what you did to me with your stupid rehab talk.”
“You said I’m a drug addict. What other name can you call me? A prostitute? Must things go completely south if partners are no longer interested?” she added.
As of press time, neither Senator Nwoko nor his media team had issued an official response regarding the alleged arrests.
