Rep. Riley M. Moore of the United States Congress has reacted to Monday’s tragic attack on Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS), Maga, in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, where terrorists killed the school’s Vice Principal and abducted about 25 female students.

In a post on his official X account, Moore described the assault as devastating and claimed the incident occurred in a Christian enclave in northern Nigeria. The lawmaker, who has repeatedly alleged that Christians face genocide in the country, urged the Nigerian government to intensify efforts to curb the escalating violence.

“Please join me in praying for the 25 girls who have been kidnapped and for the repose of the soul of their vice principal who was killed,” he wrote.

“While we don’t have all the details on this horrific attack, we know that the attack occurred in a Christian enclave in Northern Nigeria. The Nigerian government must do more to end the rampant violence.”
