Celebrity chef Hilda Baci has announced that she has achieved a new milestone, becoming a three-time Guinness World Records holder following the validation of her record-breaking jollof rice cook in 2025.
In a post shared on Instagram, Hilda revealed that her September 2025 jollof rice event earned her not one, but two additional Guinness World Records. The feat was recognised as both the largest serving of Nigerian-style jollof rice and the largest serving of rice ever recorded.
The latest achievement builds on her earlier global recognition in 2023, when she set the record for the longest cooking marathon after cooking continuously for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
According to Guinness World Records, the massive pot of jollof rice weighed 8,780 kilograms and was sufficient to feed more than 16,600 people. The records were officially verified on September 15, 2025.
Reacting to the confirmation, Hilda described the news as shocking and deeply emotional. She said she only discovered months later that her jollof rice cook had broken two records simultaneously, rather than one as initially believed.
She credited her longtime collaborator, Oreoluwa Atinmo, for playing a key role in turning the idea into reality, describing the journey as a shared vision executed through teamwork and alignment. Hilda also expressed gratitude to her wider team, noting that every effort contributed to the historic achievement.
The celebrity chef thanked Guinness World Records for the recognition and appreciated supporters who stood by her throughout the process. Reflecting on the moment, she described the achievement as a reminder that greater accomplishments can emerge even when one believes the journey is complete.
With three Guinness World Records now to her name, Hilda Baci continues to cement her place as one of Nigeria’s most celebrated culinary figures on the global stage.
