Prisons Decongestion: Over 100 Inmates to get Justice in Kano Correctional Center

A monthly Program that will help in delivering Justice to the to the common man in the society has commenced at the the Kano central correctional facility.

Chief Judge of Kano state justice Nura Sagir wedenesday who visited the kano central correctional facility to look into some minor awaiting trials person’ cases who were remanded for over five years with a view to decongesting the facility.

Chief registrar of the Kano state high court Abdullahi Ado bayero said the visit is aimed at bringing Justice to common man in the society.

The chief judge of Kano state Nura Sagir who led the team said the aim of the visit is serve the interest of Justice as well as decongest the correctional facility.

Attorney general of Kano state Musa Lawal said the program will be on monthly basis and will help in delivering Justice to the society.

Over 100 inmates were selected at the beginning of the program which the office of the chief judge in collaboration with Kano ministry of Justice will look into their matter with a view to releasing them.
