Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, South East Nigeria has presented the State’s 2021 Budget proposal of 169.85 billion Naira to the State House of Assembly for consideration.
The 2021 fiscal estimate is 13 per cent higher than the 2019 reversed budget of 146.37 billion Naira.
Out of this amount, One hundred and one billion Naira representing sixty per cent of the proposed budget is for capital expenditure.
Recurrent expenditure is captured to take over Sixty eight point seven one billion Naira, representing forty per cent of the budget.
Governor Ugwuanyi told the State lawmakers that the administration will increase internally generated revenue to meet up the various projected proposals in the budget.
Governor Ugwuanyi is appealing to the legislatures for a speedy passage of the state 2021 fiscal bill.
The Governor expressed appreciation to the people of Enugu State for their cooperation and support despite the current economic hardship in the country
The 2021 Enugu State budget proposal is tagged “Budget Of Recovery and Continued Growth”.
