IMO 2021 BUDGET: Government Proposes to spend #346Billion to Stimulate Economy

Imo state government is proposing to spend three hundred and forty six billion naira in 2021 to create job, stimulate economy, and create wealth for the people.

This is contained in the 2021 budget estimate, presented to the State House of Assembly by Governor Hope Uzodinma.

Presenting the budget, tagged “Budget of Wealth Creation” the state Governor Uzodimma said the proposal is predicated on the policy trust of his administration focused on Recovery, Rehabilitation, and Reconstruction.

Governor Uzodimma stated that payment of new national minimum wage to workers in the state would commence in January next year.

He urged the state House of Assembly to give the document accelerated passage while assuring that his administration would continue to provide good governance to ensure the people attained their yearnings and aspirations.

The Speaker, Imo state House of Assembly, Paul Emeziem commended the Executive for demonstrating commitment towards addressing infrastructure deficit in the state.

The 2021 estimate recorded more than two hundred percent increase from that of 2020.
