Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo is chairing the seventh virtual national economic council meeting at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
All members of the Council, including governors of the 36 states, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, among others, joined the virtual meetings from their states and offices.
Some of the issues that may be on the agenda of the meeting are security, management of the second wave of covid 19 , the state of implementation of the Economic Sustainability Plan, ESP.
At the last meeting of the Council, a committee was set up to engage with youths and other critical stakeholders in addressing the root cause of the ENDSARs protests.
The Committee, chaired by the vice president, may also present its report at the ongoing meeting.
