PDP INTERNAL CRISIS: Faction loyal to the Aminu Wali Camp expelled former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso

A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Kano, loyal to the Aminu Wali camp has expelled former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and members of the Kwankwassiya Camp from the party for anti party activities.

The camp was also accused of the continuous violation of the party’s constitution.

The newly elected chairman of the party, Mamina Lamido, announce the dismissal, shortly after he was inaugurated, alongside other members at the congress in Kano.

The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party in Kano has taken a new twist, with the inauguration of 40 new executive members, belonging to the Aminu Wali camp, to pilot the affairs of the state.

A Federal High Court had struck out the suit instituted by the Aminu Wali Camp, against Ward Congresses held by the PDP Caretaker Committee, effectively giving recognition to the Kwankwasiyya Camp of the party.

In a swift reaction, the Aminu Wali Camp said, former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was expelled from the party, over anti party activities.

The new executives led by Mamina Lamido said, the party will contest in the forth coming local government elections, and is optimistic of victory.

8,717 delegates from 448 wards in 44 Local Government Areas participated in the congress.
