Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has graciously approved the reopening of Nigeria’s four land borders with immediate effect.

He also said others will be reopened subsequently.

Although full details of the Presidential order are yet to be provided, Prompt News gathered that the borders opened for now include Seme Border in the Southwest, Ilela Border in the Northwest and two other unnamed border posts.

However, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, who disclosed this in Abuja at the weekly FEC meeting also said restriction on the importation of some commodities, like rice and other products, would continue to be enforced.

The borders opened for now include Seme Border in the Southwest, Ilela Border in the Northwest and the two others borders are Maigatari and Mfun.
