Police in Katsina say, they have arrested a notorious 35 year old suspected bandit, Abdullahi Ibrahim, alias “DANDA”.
He was said to be terrorizing Safana and Batsari Area Councils of the state. This is contained in a statement signed by the spokesman of the command SP Gambo Isah.
He also said the police recovered one AK47 rifle and seven rustled cows in his possession.
In another development, police in Katsina have also rescued twenty-nine victims of human trafficking.
They comprise of twenty-two females, 5 males, and 2 children, all between the ages of 4 and 46 years.
The victims of human trafficking according to Isah, were all on transit from the southern part of Nigeria to Libya, Algeria and Turkey.
He said that investigation is ongoing with a view to arresting the traffickers.
The police image maker said, men of the command have also arrested some suspected criminals and recovered one pump action, one fabricated revolver pistol and some items, suspected to be used in making improvised explosive devices, I.E.Ds.
