Following the confirmation of a second wave of the COVID-19 in the country, Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi has directed that all religious gatherings in the state must now be restricted to two hours only.
Governor Dave Umahi who gave the directive at a media briefing in Abakaliki, hints that though the South East zone has not started experiencing the second wave of the pandemic, the Governors from the zone have met and strategized on how to mitigate the spread of the disease.
The Governor notes that, it has become necessary to reactivate all Covid19 protocols as it relates to public gatherings, wearing of masks and handwashing.
The Ebonyi State Governor wants the people to restrict their movements especially in this period of Covid 19 as he indicates a possibility of closing down the state borders if need be.
