INCREASING COVID-19 CASES: Health Ministry Advice residents to adhere to Standard Protocol

Kano state ministry of health has urged residents to strictly adhere to standard protocols of containing the covid 19 pandemic which is witnessing increase in numbers in the state.

The state Commissioner for health Dr. Aminu Ibrahim made the call during a press briefing on the implementation of Integrated Health Program on friday.

According to the commissioner the second round of 2020 maternal newborn and child health week will commence from 20th to 24th December 2020.

Dr. Aminu Ibrahim says in line with the National policy the ministry will flagg-off the commencement of the second dose of measles vaccination in the state calling on residents to observe social distance and use of face mask as second wave of covid19 hits the country.

Ibrahim said over 1360 seevice centers were earmarked for the progron in the state. Kano state has 195 active cases and recorded 56 deaths since the outbreak of covid19.
