Media Personality, Daddy Freeze has come out to state that women in this current generation are not willing to “endure” in marriage.
The On-Air Personality in a post on Instragam stated that marriage methods that worked for our parents and couple like them are no longer viable.
His statements are likely related to the viral video of veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie in which he advised women to pack condoms for their husbands whenever they are travelling.
Edochie had stated that the above is a tactic used to curtail cheating husbands. According to Pete, this will make the husbands feel guilty knowing that their wives are aware that they cheat.
The veteran actor stated that it is not in the nature of Nigerians to divorce and remarry repeatedly like “white women”. As such, he advised ladies to be more creative in their approach towards dealing with ills in their marriage.
“Solomon had 1000 wives and 700 concubines. If a man decides to take many more wives, what are you going to do? Nothing,” Edochie said, making reference to the case of the Biblical King Solomon.
“If you think your husband is going out to have an affair, put a packet of condom in his bag. When he sees it, he’ll know you have his interest at heart. If it is in his intention to stray, he’ll pull himself together.
“Not that But women are not even creative. You want to be like wild women who keep on divorcing and remarrying. It doesn’t suit us. It doesn’t go down well with us. No!
Daddy Freeze has now stated that women these days are no longer willing to stay in “dead, torturous marriages.”
He added that in the previous generations, most men “enjoyed” their marriages while the women “endured” it “for the sake of the children or public perception and validation”.
He added that now, if you don’t treat your spouse well, they will leave you and he advised his followers to “know this and know peace”.
Captioning the above text-photo, Daddy Freeze wrote;
“Many women stayed in dead, torturous marriages to men who would abuse them physically, emotionally and sexually, while cheating on them repeatedly, for the sake of the children or public perception and validation.
“Try this today and your partner would leave you quicker that you knew what hit you. Not because your partner doesn’t respect the sanctity of marriage, but because your partner won’t take your sh*t, SIMPLE!
“If you are searching for someone to take your sh*t then marriage is not for you. Fix yourself or get the boot, it’s actually quite simple and straightforward. ?~FRZ #DaddyFreeze #FreeTheSheeple”
Recall that Daddy Freeze was in the news last week after he was found guilty of adultery and ordered to pay a fine of N5 Million by a high court judge.
According to a report by Punch, Daddy Freeze was ordered to pay the money to Paul Odekina, who was the husband to his fiancee, Benedicta Elechi as at the period when the adulterous act was committed.
Freeze and Elechi were said to have had a romantic union when they were married to different partners, a situation that resulted in the birth of Jason, his son, in 2015. Odekina since filed a lawsuit against Freeze, accusing him of adultery.
Court documents read in part, “The sum of N5,000,000 is awarded against Ifedayo Olarinde as damages for depriving the cross petitioner of the amiable consort of his wife and for an injury suffered as a result of his adultery with the petitioner/cross respondent.”

The Rivers state court sitting had also dissolved the marriage between Paul and Benedicta due to Benedicta’s adulterous act with Daddy Freeze.
“An order of Decree Nisi is hereby granted, dissolving the marriage contracted between Paul Ochenu Odekina and Benedicta Nkemdilim Elechi-Agunabo on 26/1/2002 at the Chaplaincy of the Holy Rosary CIWA at Port Harcourt on the ground that the marriage has been broken down irretrievably because of the petitioner/ cross respondent having committed adultery and intolerable behaviour of the petitioner/cross respondent which the respondent cannot be expected to live with the petitioner/cross respondent,” the document read.
Benedicta’s ex-husband was also granted custody of the children produced in the marriage, while she was ordered to hand over the children’s passports and birth certificates.
Daddy Freeze and his first wife, Opeyemi went their separate ways in 2017 in what was quite a high-profile divorce. It was quite a messy separation with allegations of domestic violence and adultery while they were still married flying around from both parties.
Back in 2017 while granting an exclusive interview with BellaNaija, Opeyemi had revealed that she was domestically abused while she was married to Daddy Freeze. In his defence, Daddy Freeze denied all the allegations levelled against him by his estranged wife.
“You gave me the worst union a man could ever have, the worst marital nightmare ever, yet I thank you for it, because if I hadn’t tasted a bad union, I won’t ever be able to appreciate a wonderful one.” Daddy Freeze had said of his ex-wife
