Nigeria’s social media space has been thrown into fresh controversy following the dramatic escalation of the marital crisis between veteran broadcaster Frank Edoho and his estranged wife, Sandra Edoho.
The controversy intensified after a leaked audio recording allegedly involving Sandra and singer Chike surfaced online.
In the viral recording, Sandra is allegedly heard telling Chike to be decisive about ending their relationship.
“You know what, let’s do one last thing by the time we are done with that last thing we can block each other… not just blocking we are also just ex-ing, like never talking again never seeing again,” she said.
The conversation later became more provocative as she allegedly insisted that “one last thing has to happen” before they cut ties.
“I am serious and this will just put an end to it, I am telling you fact, you think about it is that not fair I mean we have been stupid all along let’s do one stupidest thing then from there,” she added.
The leaked audio has since sparked heated reactions across social media, with many users accusing Chike of playing a role in the breakdown of the broadcaster’s marriage.
Responding to the backlash and speculation surrounding her alleged relationship with the singer, Sandra took to her Instagram Story with a series of strong counter-allegations against Frank Edoho.
Rather than directly denying the claims suggested in the audio, Sandra accused her estranged husband of infidelity and alleged that he relied heavily on her financially throughout their marriage.
She also named actress Mbong Amata, Tega Dominic, Adaeze Ugboaja, and Amaka Okeke as women she claimed Frank had romantic relationships with.
Sandra further alleged that Frank maintained a long-term affair with Mbong Amata while she was pregnant with their first child.
She also claimed that the broadcaster once pressured her to terminate a pregnancy because he was not ready to become a father despite allegedly being involved with multiple women at the time.
According to Sandra, she gave Frank unrestricted financial support during their marriage, accusing him of spending her money on women, hotels, and short-let apartments in Lekki.
She further alleged that she single-handedly funded his luxury lifestyle, including business-class flights, vacations, and responsibilities tied to children from his previous marriage.
Sandra also claimed she supported members of his family abroad for years in an effort to protect his public image.
Declaring that she has now “chosen herself,” Sandra maintained that she is free to date anyone she wants and urged the broadcaster to move on.
