Ireland Announces 2026 Fellows Programme For Early, Mid-Career Professionals

The Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria has announced that applications for the 2026 Ireland Fellows Programme will officially open on Monday, June 29, 2026, offering a massive opportunity for Nigerians to study for a fully funded Master’s degree in Ireland.

Disclosing this on Friday via its official X handle, the embassy stated that the programme is targeted at early and mid-career professionals from Nigeria and Ghana who are looking to pursue a one-year Master’s degree at top-tier Irish universities.

“Applications for the Ireland Fellows Programme opens on 29 June 2026! Apply for the opportunity to study in Ireland on a fully funded master’s scholarship,” the embassy stated in the social media post.
According to the details released by the embassy, interested applicants from both West African nations must meet specific requirements to be eligible. Applicants must be resident nationals of Nigeria or Ghana, hold at least a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower (2:2), and possess at least three years of relevant work experience.

For Nigerian applicants, the fellowship also features the Roger Casement Fellowship in Human Rights, which specifically focuses on Master’s programmes in Law, Human Rights, and Governance.

The highly coveted scholarship is comprehensive, covering full tuition fees, a monthly allowance, accommodation stipends, flight and visa costs, as well as health insurance for the beneficiaries.

Eligible candidates can access detailed information regarding the programme and the application guidelines through the official Ireland Fellows Programme portal.

The application window will close on July 26, 2026. Interested and qualified professionals are expected to submit their applications through the official website starting Monday.
