The Chairman of the independent national electoral commission(INEC) Mahmood Yakubu says the commission is working closely with the national assembly to ensure the speedy passage of the electoral act amendment bill.
The chairman while briefing state house correspondents after he was sworn in by President muhammadu buhari for another five year term, said although preparations for the 2023 general elections has commenced, the passage of the amendment bill will enormously assist the commission in confronting various challenges ahead.
The INEC boss says that the commission will continue to improve in all aspects to ensure a better process in the coming election.
