OPSH Neutralizes 3 Armed Bandits Opposite NYSC Camp Mangu

The Special Task Force deployed to restore law and order in the Plateau State, Bauchi and Southern Kaduna, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) on Wednesday night neutralized some armed Fulani men suspected to be armed bandits know to have been rubbing and terrorizing travelers along Mangu road, in Plateau State.

This is coming hours after the Department of State Services (DSS)raised alarm over security concerns, especially around rural communities in Riyom, Barkin-Ladi and Mangu LGAs.

The incident took place at about 11pm, opposite the Plateau State NYSC camp in Mangu Local government are of the State.

A local who pleaded anonymity, said that at the time of the rubbery information got to the OPSH sector commander In Mangu and he quickly mobilized his men to the area in a private vehicle, on reaching there, they engaged the gang of robbers in a shot out and as a result, 3 robbers were neutralized.

Some weapons were also recovered, while the corpses are said to be in the custody of Mangu Divisional Police Headquarters.
