Woman Died After Husband Gave Her ‘A Hot Slap’ For Refusing To Breastfeed Their Crying Baby

Okada rider allegedly beats his wife to death for refusing to breastfeed their crying baby. What wickedness! Ogun State Police Command arrested a 40-year-old Okada rider, Kingsley Madukwe, for allegedly beating his 40-year-old wife, Glory Madukwe to death after she refused to feed their crying one-month-old baby. The Police said the arrest of the suspect was as a result of a report by one Chief Rafiu Gbadamosi, the Baale of Egando in Atan, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of the state.

The Baale had told the police that the couple had a minor misunderstanding as a result of which the husband beat the wife to death at about 11:30pm on a Wednesday, September 2019. The DPO Atan Ota division, SP Salau Abiodun, led his detectives to the scene where the suspect was promptly arrested.

On interrogation, the suspect, who is an indigene of Ihiala in Anambra State, narrated that his late wife, a mother of eight, was having a month old baby and that the baby was crying, which made him to wake his wife up to breastfeed the baby, but she refused claiming that she was too tired to breastfeed the baby at that time. The deceased wife got up and went to the sitting room without carrying the baby. This was said to have angered the husband, he drew his wife back and “gave her a hot slap.” The woman fell down and gave up the ghost.

The corpse of the victim had since been deposited at the General Hospital, Ota mortuary for post mortem. The Commissioner of Police ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.

In another story that happened same year 2019, a 35 years-old-man, Habeeb Kasali was arrested by police in Ogun state for allegedly killing a 32-year-old man, Bamidele Johnson, on the suspicion that he was having a s€xual affair with his wife in Totowu area of the state.

Kasali was said to have used a pair of scissors to stab Johnson several times in his chest, eye and neck, which led to his death. Johnson was immediately rushed to the Crest Hospital on Isuti Road, Egan, Lagos State, where he was confirmed to have been brought in dead by a doctor. The Police disclosed in a statement, that the suspect was arrested following a complaint by a relation of the deceased at the Igbesa Police Divisional Headquarters.

“The complainant informed the police that a fight ensued between the suspect and the deceased at the Totowu area, when the suspect confronted the deceased with the accusation of having an affair with his wife despite several warnings from him. In the process, the suspect used a pair of scissors to stab the deceased several times in his chest, eye and neck as a result of which the deceased lost consciousness.

He was immediately rushed to the Crest Hospital on Isuti Road, Egan, Lagos State, where he was confirmed to have been brought in dead by a doctor. “Having realised that the victim had died, the suspect took to his heels, but the DPO, Igbesa Divisional Headquarters quickly dispatched his detectives to go after him and he was eventually arrested from where he ran to. The corpse of the deceased was recovered and deposited in the Ota General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.”

The state Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
