The President of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku has commended the FCT Chapter of the Institute for driving an innovative leadership less than one year since it came on board, saying there is a pre-determined desire for success.
Dr. Neliaku who gave this commendation at the September general meeting of the Chapter in Abuja on Wednesday said the NIPR-FCT Chairman, Mr. Stanley Ogadigo and his team have justified why they are called the number one chapter.
“I want to commend the chairman and his team. They have done very well under one year. The the innovations are really exciting, the creativity with which this team has done its work is very encouraging”, the President remarked.
He particularly applauded the Chapter for the establishment of PR Clubs in secondary schools, stating that it is one of the areas the current Council has taken very seriously, a project he said is in tandem with the Institute’s decision to set up Young Professionals Hub.
According to the President, there must be a conscious effort to groom a credible successor generation that will be armed with the needed skills to take up the profession in the future.
The NIPR boss also commended the leadership of FCT Chapter for an MoU it recently signed with Drawbridge Communication Ltd, which seeks to expand the public relations consultancy ecosystem in the Federal Capital Territory.
Earlier in his remarks, Chairman of the Chapter, Mr. Ogadigo unveiled the 4-pillar Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability (CSR&S) policy of the Chapter which he said is an effort to impact the operating environment and promote values of giving back to the society as a core component of public relations function.
The Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability (CSR&S) policy of the FCT Chapter is built on pillars of education, health, youth empowerment and community development.
