Veteran singer, Charles Oputa popularly known as Charly Boy has slammed Nigerian youths over their preference for the reality TV show, Big Brother Naija to more pressing national issues.

The music star in a post shared via his Instagram page on Monday, August 10, 2020, expressed shock at the rate at which young Nigerians have made the reality show trend on social media while ignoring some of the socio-political issues in the country.

“A practical reality of who we are as people and where our priority lies as citizens. The funny side in all of these is that we still go to bed, have a good sleep, and wake up with the hope to meet a Nigeria we didn’t create. Mumu Nigerians! Mumu Nigerians!! Mumu Nigerians!!!”
