Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has fulfilled his pledge to support veteran Nollywood actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, by directing the payment of N25 million directly to the hospital where she is receiving medical treatment.
The update was disclosed in a post shared on X on Thursday by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Tourism and Entertainment, Justice Okey Martins, popularly known as J Martins.
Martins confirmed that the fund was remitted directly to the health facility caring for the legendary film star ahead of her medical procedures.
“Yesterday before the close of work, His Excellency @alexottiofr our pragmatic leader made good his promise, directing a 25M payment to the hospital’s account where our Nollywood legendary actress Mrs Ngozi Nwosu is receiving treatment,” Martins wrote.
Expressing appreciation on behalf of the creative industry and the state, the governor’s aide thanked Otti for stepping in to support the veteran actress during her health challenge.
“We thank you immensely for your support and kindness of heart sir. History will be kind to you,” he added.
Concluding his statement, Martins praised the governor in Igbo, writing, “Daalu Ri Nne Chioma Ndi Abia.”
